  • St James carols and keyboards

    Friday Dec. 20th 7pm




    An evening program of beautiful Christmas carols performed on the instruments of St. James by  John Novak and his outstanding musician friends, Peter Geise, Timothy Smith and Jeffrey Thompson. The audience will also have an opportunity to sing along with several favorite carols. Come hear piano, organ and vocal solos, duets and even a closing ensemble for 3 pianos and organ! Get yourself into the Christmas spirit with this exciting program of your favorite seasonal music in the beautiful sanctuary of St. James Episcopal Church. A free will offering will be gratefully accepted. 




  • Genesee chorale presents "magnificat"

    Join the Genesee Chorale as it presents "Magnificat" by Taylor Scott Davis. The Magnificat has been put to interpretation through music by hundreds of composers; the most famous and oft-performed being by J.S. Bach. In this version, Davis takes a fresh, contemporary approach to the text. The result is one of the most beautiful versions to date.

    Also featured on this performance will be the wonderful work, "Fantasia on Christmas Carols" by Ralph Vaughan Williams. This work will feature Baritone soloist Joseph Finetti.

  • advent book study

    The First Advent in Palestine, by Kelley Nikondeha. We will meet on Fridays at noon Dec. 6, 13, and 20th (brown bag lunch) to discuss the book. All members of the GRI are invited, we will meet in the Guild Room off of the main hall at St. James. The book is available through Amazon and at several local libraries.

    St. James flies red ribbons for Red Ribbon Week in support of those who struggle with addiction and in gratitude for the important work of our neighbors at UconnectCare and Horizon Health Services.

    Carol Queal is offering to coordinate Alex’s Place Chicken BBQ tickets on a pre-order basis. In order for the ECW to offer these tickets as a fundraiser, we must commit to buying 10 books of 10 tickets each.     2nd Monday of Every Month

    from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm.


    Are you currently living with dementia or do you provide care in your home for a loved one with a memory impairment?  This free program offers social companionship, meaningful activities and active engagement in a safe space so care partners have an opportunity to socialize and tend to their own healthcare needs.  If you are interested in helping with this ministry please contact Diana Leiker at the number below.
